WENDY HEATHER ICMG LCGI
Having been surrounded by animals all her life, it was hardly surprising that Wendy began her professional career in the animal care industry by spending 7 years working in the rehoming centre of one of the UK’s largest animal welfare charities. During this time, Wendy developed a passion for dog training and behaviour, and simultaneously studied for a university Degree to take this on board. Wendy moved on to an assessment and lecturing role with an animal welfare college and it was during this time that Wendy’s love of pet grooming started. In particular, she quickly realised that there was a need for a quieter environment in grooming parlours.
Dogs are Wendy’s greatest passion. Her life is not only working with them but also showing at Kennel Club level. In particular, Wendy shows and judges Irish Wolfhounds and is passionate about their health and the breed’s future. Wendy also shows and judges
Dachshunds, currently owning Miniature Long Haired and Miniature Wire Haired.
Wendy Holds degrees in animal behaviour and has completed her City & Guilds Level 2 & Level 3 Professional Diploma in Dog Styling. Wendy is also a keen competitor at dog shows, making up many Champions in Irish Wolfhounds.
Wendy is passionate about qualifications within the grooming industry and strives to continue her own professional development with seminar attendance and higher grooming qualifications. Wendy is a Certified Master Groomer and holder of an LCGI.
